The City of Forrest City invites its citizens and
other interested persons to a public meeting in City Hall, 224 N. Rosser St,
Forrest City, AR on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 6:00pm. The purpose of the
meeting is to identify potential outdoor park and recreation needs and
priorities. Following the identification
process, city officials will select those priorities to be submitted to the
Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism for an outdoor Recreation Matching
Grant application. Ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities,
senior citizens, and special interest groups are encouraged to attend and

The City of Forrest City is applying for a grant through Arkansas Department of Workforce Services to fund the East Arkansas Regional Summer Youth Employment Initiative with help from District 48 Representative Reginald Murdock. If approved, the grant will pay the salary of 45 youth participants, 4 mentors, and a program director in Forrest City.
