Forrest City Public Library Newsletter
Dear Forrest City Residents,
It is with great enthusiasm that I announce the forthcoming groundbreaking of our new Forrest City Travel Center, set to be located on the bypass. This exciting development will bring significant benefits to our community and to truckers traveling through our area.
We are thrilled to welcome Jay Sinojia, the owner of this landmark project. Joining him in the photo are Chief Jeremy Sharp, Code Enforcement Officer Kendall Pettus, and Sheriff Deputy Jason Bradshaw, all of whom will play a crucial role in overseeing this transformative initiative.
The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for two weeks from now, and we anticipate the travel center will be completed by September 2025. The facility will feature 90 truck parking spots, showers, laundry facilities, a fitness center for truckers, and a variety of dining options including pizza, chicken, and Indian cuisine.
This travel center will greatly enhance our community and provide essential amenities for those on the road. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the groundbreaking and celebrate this significant addition to Forrest City.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Mayor Bryant

"A great place to stop, stay & shop." SHARE - AR State Health Alliance for Records Exchange Congratulations are due to Mr. Cecil Burns, of Forrest City Recreational Department. Mr. Burns is the winner Annual Incentive drawing. The Share Health Education Campaign includes 12 ready-to-distribute workplace newsletters and educational handouts for each month's health topics. The content has important health highlights, clinical screening recommendations (if applicable) current scientific/ medical guidelines relative to the topic as well as recipes and an interactive activity. The interactive activity has been designed to increase employee engagement. Research studies have shown that hands-on, experimental actions (kinesthetic learning) not only generate more participation, but also influences knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and future health behaviors. Congratulations again Mr. Burns for winning the drawing and thank you to all employees who are actively participating in the campaign. Remember taking care of your health is an important part of being a productive and happy workforce. Let’s continue to work together to create a healthy and supportive community for all.
