Community Members, I write to you today with a heart brimming with gratitude and pride as we reflect on the tremendous success of the Beech Grove Park Grand Reopening celebration. I extend my sincerest thanks to each and every one of you who contributed to this remarkable achievement in Forrest City. The Saint Francis County Community Accelerator Team exemplifies the true spirit of collaboration and community dedication. Your unwavering commitment to fostering growth and progress has not only transformed our beloved Beech Grove Park but has also uplifted the entire community. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was a momentous occasion, symbolizing the culmination of countless hours of hard work and dedication. As the scissors sliced through the ribbon, the cheers echoed the shared excitement and pride felt by all who had contributed to this momentous achievement. The celebration did not end there as the event day was a testament to the vibrant spirit of our community. Families streamed in, greeted by the sounds of laughter, the smell of freshly grilled food, and the sight of colorful balloons dancing in the breeze. Bonds were strengthened, friendships formed, and memories made as people mingled and explored our beautiful park. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Saint Francis County Community Accelerator Team, the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas, the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture (UADA) Cooperative Extension Service, and all other organizations and individuals who played a pivotal role in making this dream a reality. Together, we have proven that by working hand in hand, anything is possible. Beech Grove Park stands not only as a testament to our collective efforts but also as a beacon of inspiration for generations to come. Thank you once again for your dedication, passion, and unwavering support. As we continue to work together to shape a brighter future for our youth the community and Forrest City “The Jewel of the Delta”. Mayor Larry Bryant Forrest City, AR

"A great place to stop, stay & shop." SHARE - AR State Health Alliance for Records Exchange Congratulations are due to Mr. Napolia Grace, laborer for Forrest City Public Works. Mr. Grace is the winner of May’s drawing. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. The Share Health Education Campaign includes 12 ready-to-distribute workplace newsletters and educational handouts for each month's health topics. The content has important health highlights, clinical screening recommendations (if applicable) current scientific/ medical guidelines relative to the topic as well as recipes and an interactive activity. The interactive activity has been designed to increase employee engagement. Research studies have shown that hands-on, experimental actions (kinesthetic learning) not only generate more participation, but also influences knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and future health behaviors. Congratulations again Mr. Napolia Grace for winning the drawing and thank you to all employees who are actively participating in the campaign. Remember taking care of your health is an important part of being a productive and happy workforce. Let’s continue to work together to create a healthy and supportive community for all.

The Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP) recognizes the vital role that peer recovery specialists play in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from opioid addiction. Peer support offers a unique form of assistance, grounded in empathy, understanding, and shared experiences. Through peer support, individuals can find encouragement, hope, and practical guidance to navigate the challenges of recovery. Peer recovery specialists bring a level of authenticity and relatability that can be particularly impactful for those struggling with addiction. By sharing their own experiences and offering non-judgmental support, they create a safe space for individuals to open up and seek help. This form of support can be instrumental in extending the reach of treatment beyond clinical settings and into the everyday lives of those seeking recovery. For anyone interested in learning more about peer support services provided by ARORP, they can contact Bonnie Baker, a Peer Recovery Support Specialist, at 870-450-8118 or via email at bonnie.j.baker0808@gmail.com. Bonnie and the ARORP team are dedicated to offering support and guidance to individuals on their journey to successful and sustained recovery from opioid addiction.
